Alumni Astronaut Shares "Final Mission to Hubble" on January 21 at HESS Club

The Columbia and MIT alumni clubs invite you to join us for The Final Mission to Hubble presentation and video of astronaut Mike Massimino repairing the space telescope during one of two space walks he made in May of 2009 from space shuttle Atlantis. The 12-day mission of almost 5.3 million miles rejuvenated Hubble with state-of-the-art science instruments.

Massimino received his BS in Industrial Engineering in 1984 from Columbia University and then went on to MIT for multiple degrees including a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, '92. He is currently an adjunct professor at Rice University. Mission STS-125 was his second space flight.
