Add Your Own Touch to our Holiday Celebration

This December 6, we're celebrating our own community. After we got Jane Moser to agree we could have the party at Brazos Bookstore, Theresa Quintanilla volunteered to make big nametags for the authors. George Worthington agreed to contribute several bottles of Champagne. Authors Brian Swain, Tony Friedmann, Marie Delgado Travis, and Bernard Patten promised to come and sign books. (And we expect more authors as well.) Brian Swain spent a few hours researching the other Columba-affiliated authors whose books will be available to purchase at Brazos Bookstore--authors like Brian Greene, Bill Maher, Oliver Saks, and Joseph Stiglitz. Business owners and alumni Paul Bonnarigo of Messina Hof and Teresa Byrne-Dodge of Lazywood Press will be sending us door prizes.

What will your contribution be?

• Please plan to join us and make a holiday purchase. The bigger this year's party gets, the easier it will build up a bigger one next year. RSVP to Theresa@QViews.com or (281) 433-2302 as soon as possible.
• If you're an author, let us know so we can get you a name tag. Contact Brian Swain at BSwain2000@yahoo.com or (713) 436-2714.
• Bring your favorite holiday treat to share. We'll have a table set up where everyone can taste. You could even regift us a gift basket that's not to your taste!
• Send us a door prize. Have a couple of tickets you won't be able to use? Or maybe you could support your favorite salon by adding a gift certificate to our door prizes.
• Make a financial contribution. We don't have big expenses but if you send in a check for as little as $20 that will go a long way toward helping us get nice supplies and frills to make this party special.
