First Annual Holiday Shopping Celebration
Sunday, December 6, 2009, 5 to 8 pm, at the Brazos Bookstore

The Brazos Bookstore has generously agreed to host our 1st annual Holiday Shopping Celebration, featuring books written by Columbia-affiliated writers and artists, including local alumni and Columbia University professors, and well as publications from the Columbia University Press.

Authors will be available to sign books and answers questions at a holiday festivity at the bookstore on Sunday, December 6 from 5 to 8 pm. Light appetizers and drinks, including wine, will be served. Doors will open at 5 pm, name tags will be distributed, and authors will be introduced at 6 pm. Although none of the artists will be reading from their work, they will be available to meet with you, sign books and answer questions. As the date approaches, we will let you know which authors are attending.

Join us and make major progress on your holiday shopping by buying books from alumni and other Columbia-affiliated authors. A wide range of subjects and book prices will make this a lively opportunity to shop. See how impressed the recepient will be when they see the author's signature!

Here's just a sampling of local alumni authors whom we've met... We'll be adding links and additonal information as soon as we can.
