On August 27, 2009, the Columbia Club of South Texas, the MBA Council of Houston, and the Ivy+ Consortium held a Houston Mayoral Candidate Debate at the South Texas College of Law. Columbia alumna Melanie Lawson, co-anchor of the 5 pm news at KTRK-TV, Channel 13 in Houston, moderated. About 200 people attended, and we received a favorable review from journalist Bradley Olson of the Houston Chronicle.
